Weight Loss Eating

The Reverse Diet Solution
or as my Mamma said "Eat like a King, a Prince and a Pauper"

Tricia Cunningham's weight loss method of eating meals in reverse is not new. In fact I heard this when I was just a kid. When mamma said eat like "Eat like a King a Prince and a Pauper" what she was saying was to eat large in the morning, eat a little smaller at noon and eat very little for dinner or supper or whatever it is called where you are from. Thank goodness mamma was slim and wanted her kids to be healthy. That is how she fed us no matter how hard we tried to get her to give us something else she would always say, "you can have it tomorrow".

It really does not matter whether it is carbs, protein etc. Eat according to your activity level, eat smaller portions as the day wears on and you will be just fine. Eat those portions of fruits and vegetables. Don't always swap taste for quality. Eating sensible is common sense and will power. With all the food choices confronting us today it takes will power. To say it is not your fault is lying to yourself. No one want to confront the fact that it is your choice whether you eat sensible or not. When you eat out does your eyes overload your stomach? Usually it does and the restaurants are not helping any by bring you a days worth of food in one meal. Top that off with dessert and you have calories you will not burn, stored as fat and ripples that are hard to get off. Now on top of that eat it at 7,8 9 o-clock or later and wala, extra pounds. Do this day after day, week after week and wala, the obesity epidemic.

Another thing that is not new is carbonated beverages. Death to the body in a bottle. Bring them home by the case. Drink two or three with a pizza, do this every week and you got an obesity cocktail. STOP already!

Here is some good advice:
Don't Eat:
Salt, sugar, alcohol, caffeine and carbonated beverages.

Do Eat: All vegetables, fresh and frozen, including potatoes
Extra virgin olive oil (the darker, the better)
All seafood, chicken and turkey
All berries, peaches, pineapple, apples, grapes and plums
Eggs
Lemons
White cheese
Fat-free sour cream, salad dressing and skim milk
Low-sodium margarine
GARLIC, GARLIC, GARLIC
All spices, excluding salt, read your labels!
Post Shredded Wheat and Bran
Uncooked Old Fashion Oatmeal
Orange juice
Red meat and pasta, in moderation and small portions

Tips: Eat a BIG breakfast.
If you don't normally eat breakfast, take tonight's dinner and put it in the refrigerator and have your breakfast for dinner.
This will jump-start your metabolism so fast, you'll be running to the scale! Never skip breakfast.
Don't overeat. Save leftovers for snacks.
Eat a medium lunch and small dinner. You do not need to fill up at the end of the day.
Use water, margarine, olive oil or orange juice when preparing meat.
Drink two glasses of hot lemon water per day.
Drink when you're thirsty. Don't force eight to 10 glasses of water per day.
Eat when you're hungry

Calcium, everyone needs it and it one of those things recommended by the medical profession and good to get in supplements to make sure you are getting your daily allowance. Do not skimp on the calcium!

I recommend Wonder Laboratories for the overall best quality and price when considering vitamins, herbs and supplements.
